OmniCenter® is a monitoring, alerting, and reporting appliance (physical or virtual) which provides cost-effective and easy-to-deploy application, network, and systems management. It provides a unified single view into virtually all IT components, from end-user application experience to device-level performance and capacity planning. Our appliance-based architecture simplifies deployment, with all hardware and software pre-integrated. Several appliance options are available to suit any size environment or redundancy requirement, including clustering, hot-standby, and distributed data collection with centralized reporting and administration. |
OmniCenter is 100% HTML/AJAX web-based for both reporting and administration, accessible from any operating system or platform. This architecture means there are no clients to download, no agents, probes, or client software to install, and no remote-desktop access required. Multiple users and administrators can all be working in the application seamlessly and simultaneously, from anywhere in the extended enterprise, including over VPN connections across the Internet. OmniCenter supports Active Directory or LDAP integration for easy administration.
OmniCenter 7 is easier to use than ever before. Netreo's design methodology has always placed an emphasis on navigability and ease-of-use. OmniCenter 7 management functions are never more than two clicks, and usually only one click for experienced users. Users can easily drill down or realign data to examine it on a different continuum. It's possible to pivot and report on data by site, category, application, or device, as needed. Column-based sorting and reporting, intelligent searching and filtering, and user-definable user interfaces are also supported.
An upgraded incident management engine within OmniCenter 7 continuously runs thousands of different checks into the enterprise-wide environment and presents a dashboard view of all notable incidents. Typical incidents could include service level agreements that aren't being reached, device outages, call quality issues, misconfigured devices, or capacity problems. When incidents occur, OmniCenter can execute a rule-based event correlation routine to look for patterns and supress duplicate or redudant alerts, automatically. OmniCenter is able to identify and flag important event patterns while also avoiding false alarms through intelligent hierarchical root cause analysis and automated escalation.
OmniCenter can create automated custom reports on a schedule and disseminate them based on role to anyone from system administrators to C-level executives. These are user-defined and can include a variety of metrics and comparative historical data including multi-year tables, graphs, pie charts and more. OmniCenter stores three years of historical trending data for instant access to long-term trend information.
OmniCenter is available as a 'core' appliance that incorporates fault and performance management, alerting, reporting (real-time and scheduled), and device configuration management, or as OmniCenter Enterprise which provides all the capabilities of OmniCenter, but also includes the full suite of Netreo monitoring technologies, including Traffic monitoring (NetFlow,sFlow,jFlow), Microsoft Exchange monitoring (including synthetic transaction checks and end-to-end benchmarks), Voice-Over-IP, Application Response Time Monitoring, Environmental monitoring, and the Virtualization Visualizer - a modular virtual appliance for monitoring and reporting on VMWare's ESX and vSphere virtualization products. OmniCenter Enterprise is ideal for enterprise organizations looking for maximum visibility in an easy-to-deploy integrated appliance.
