Any of the OmniCenter family of network management appliances can be installed in mission-critical environments through the use of our High-Availability options.
The first level of high-availability is achieved through redundancy in a single chassis. All of our larger appliances incorporate redundant hard drives, fans, and power supplies. These systems offer very high single-system Mean-time-between-failures (MTBF) for environments where downtime is undesirable.
The highest level of redundancy is achieved through the use of High-Availability mirroring. In this solution, the OmniCenter HA appliance is installed as a hot-standby unit which mirrors all of the data from the primary server. The standby unit monitors the primary unit in real-time and will take over the functions of the primary should it fail for any reason. The HA appliance can be installed at the same location for near-instant seamless failover, or at a geographically separate location for disaster recovery.
OmniCenter HA offers a level of redundancy not normally possible in an enterprise network management solution, and at a very affordable cost.
Optionally, the high-availability unit can be installed in a geographically seperate location to allow for disaster recovery.
